숙박객 리뷰
Good value, great location, but noisy.
I hesitated between three and four stars here: I decided on four, mainly because of the value for money. We paid around $35 per night during Pii Mai (Buddhist New Year), the most expensive time of year.
Pros: location, nice if small rooms, hot shower with excellent water pressure, good air-con and fan, silent enough to leave on at night, large bed, clean linen. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Acceptable WiFi (good by Lao standards) which worked at all times.
Cons: all wooden and thin walls; all noises travel. If you are on the ground floor, anyone moving in the rooms above will be heard, as will anyone passing on the street outside. Staff sometimes sit and talk loudly in reception (I went out; they stopped, no problem). Downstairs rooms are dark, only one small bathroom window, so go for upstairs rooms which have verandahs/balconies (but are presumably more expensive). No mosquito nets, which was a problem on one of the three nights. Checkout at 1100, which is a little early.
Overall, this is recommended, but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, bug spray just in case and book an upstairs room if the budget allows. Also, room 101 is right beside the staff table, room 104 the farthest away (but still not that far away, it's only four rooms downstairs, four rooms upstairs). Also note that their restaurant is no longer operating (beer only) but there are three more within 50/100 metres!
Small but comfortable room
The room is quite small, especially for 2 people with baggage & there is no window, but we found the room to be very comfortable. During the day we'd just open the door to the veranda & got a fresh breeze & plenty of sunshine. The shower had excellent water pressure & it was hot. The bed was really comfortable with nice linen & pillows. Its location is close to everything you would want, but far enough away to make for a nice walk into the town center. My only complaint would be the cat that kept meowing thru-out the night & some of the staff & their friends could be noisy when talking in the evenings. Apart from that it was a nice stay.
